Uke Jam material

Hi.
George Michaels brought a great set of music to the jam last time, and I wanted to pass on the link so that anyone who wants to can get a copy:

http://ukulelehunt.com/2008/11/12/wilfried-weltis-ukulele-tabs/

This is a set of mostly classical and some other tunes written in tablature. We thought it might be fun to play some of them at the next jam. There's a nice arrangement of Aloha O'e in there too. That tune has a pretty simple chord progression, so maybe next time some people can play the tab and others can play chords.

We're always looking for new ideas for tunes and ways to make the jam fun for everyone. So if you have any ideas, please post them in the comments section, or email me (Marilee) directly.

Next jam is Monday, December 1st. Hope to see you there!

I'll be new to the jam and new to the instrument. I have my own uke. What should I bring Monday or work on tomorrow?

Hi.
Sorry I didn't see your message sooner. It's always great to have new people at the jam, so I hope you can still make it! You don't need to bring anything, except maybe a willingness to just plug along and have fun while we all try to figure out things together. You can bring songs if there are any you'd like to play. Extra copies are always great to pass around. Otherwise, we work from a songbook. You don't need to know anything, but if you want to familiarize yourself with the C, G, and F chords, you'll have a little bit of a head start. Hope to see you later!
